11/18/23 Town Square Holiday Faire Christmas Bear Storytime

GREEN LAKE, WI, — Join in the holiday fun in Green Lake with festive activities for all ages on Saturday, November 25. The main floor of Town Square will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland with a Holiday Faire featuring local artisans, and a special Christmas Bear Storytime. The activities are part of the annual “Keep the Cheer Here” holiday extravaganza in downtown Green Lake, complete with a visit from Santa and the much-anticipated Cookie Walk.

Find vendors selling local and handmade items perfect for holiday gifting at the Holiday Faire in Studio A from 9:00am to 3:00pm. New this year, a Christmas Bear is making a special appearance at Town Square for a holiday storytime at 10:00am. Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals and join the Christmas Bear as elves read some of his favorite holiday books .

“I’m so excited for storytime and am bringing my special teddy bear,” shared Kris Anderson, Town Square Executive Director.  “My family loves picture books and we look forward to going before the cookie walk.”

Throughout the day, from 9 am to 3 pm, children can also partake in holiday crafts, such as crafting a kindness countdown garland, making holiday cards, and creating ornaments. Additionally, as part of the Green Lake Area Chamber’s Cookie Walk, Town Square will serve up handmade cookies from 11 am to 2 pm to Cookie Walk participants.

The festivities culminate Saturday with Ugly Sweater Bingo, an annual favorite event. Doors opening at 5 pm and games commencing at 6:30 pm, where the stakes are high with a progressive jackpot exceeding $2,600. Attendees are encouraged to don their most outlandish holiday sweaters while they play 13 rounds of bingo, enjoy concessions, and vie for door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
