18 November 2023 News
Green Lake, Wis. – The Historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin, will host a fun holiday-themed event on Saturday, November 25, beginning at 1 p.m. Local photographer Ric Damm will take holiday group photos in the Thrasher Gallery from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $25, and all proceeds go towards supporting Thrasher’s music, art, and cultural programs all year round.
Thrasher Opera House will also have a free showing at 2 p.m. of the movie “The Polar Express.” You are encouraged to wear your coziest holiday pajamas or favorite ugly sweater. The film will be shown free of charge, and donations are welcome. There are only 200 seats, so come early to get your spot.
Thrasher will also collect items for the Green Lake Food Pantry – your donations to that cause are greatly appreciated! Both photo op and movie are first come, first serve.
Thrasher Opera House’s mission is to promote the arts and the power of live performance, provide a community gathering place, and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera House—a charming, intimate, friendly venue with excellent acoustics.
