11/4/23 Another Fatal Crash in the Town of Omro

One driver was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash on 9th Street Road near State Highway 116 in the Town of Omro Friday afternoon. Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies, Omro Rushford Fire Department, Oshkosh Fire Department, and Omro Police responded to the scene at 2:07 pm. First responders discovered the driver was dead in one of the vehicles. The other driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It was the County’s third fatal traffic crash in the Town of Omro in an 8-day span.
