10/1/23 Death Investigation in Fox Lake

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Fox Lake Police were involved in a standoff incident in Fox Lake Saturday afternoon with a person suffering a mental health crisis who was believed to be armed with a gun. Access was restricted to a small portion of a residential neighborhood for the sake of residents’ safety. Approximately 2 hours into the investigation, a robot was used to access the residence, and a person was found dead inside. The Sheriff’s Office, Fox Lake Police, and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident. Fox Lake EMS stood by on the scene during the incident.
