9/19/23 Two Charged for Attempted Murders in NFDL

19 September 2023 News

Bond has been set at $750,000 cash for a 20-year-old Fond du Lac man and $500,000 cash for a 15-year-old North Fond du Lac boy both suspected of being involved in a shooting in the Village of North Fond du Lac on Labor Day. Jaysen Fix (pictured above) allegedly fired five rounds into a living room in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue in North Fond du Lac. He then fled on foot. According to the criminal complaint he knew Noah Metcalf (pictured below) who recently broke up with someone living in the home. Metcalf told Fix that people at the home were making threats against Fix’s child. Fix wanted “to go deal with them.” Metcalf told authorities he thought Fix was joking when he said he was going to shoot up the residence. Metcalf gave him directions to the home. Two people were sitting on a couch inside the home when shots were fired into it. Fix allegedly admitted to shooting up the home believing people there were going to call child protective services on him.  During the execution of search warrants firearms and ammunition were found. No one was seriously injured; a woman suffered scratches to a hand from debris.  Both Fix and Metcalf are charged with being party to a crime of two counts of attempted first degree intentional homicide, first degree recklessly endangering safety, and endangering safety/reckless use of a firearm. Fix is facing additional charges. (Fond du Lac County Jail photos).
