9/4/23 FDL Area Women’s Fund Names New Executive Director

The Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of their new Executive Director, Jolene Schatzinger, who will begin her new role on September 11, 2023.

Schatzinger most recently served as the Director of Outreach, Engagement, and Mercy at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul and Broken Bread Food Pantry located in downtown Fond du Lac. Prior to this, she held roles in admissions, engagement, and development at Ripon College and school counselor positions within both the Fond du Lac and Ripon school districts. Schatzinger brings to the role, decades of experience in non-profit leadership and a demonstrated commitment to relationship building and community collaboration. “We are delighted to welcome Jolene to the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund,” said Meggin McNamara, chair of the Women’s Fund Board of Directors. “She has exhibited great passion for our mission and a clear commitment and desire to help us make an even greater impact on the lives of women and girls throughout the Fond du Lac Region. With Jolene at the helm, we are eager to begin planning for our 20th anniversary as an agency, which we will celebrate throughout 2024.”

In addition to her professional prowess, Schatzinger is also Alderwoman, District 4, for the City of Ripon, as well as an appointed member of both the Ripon Area Fire District Board and the Ripon Community Media Committee. A graduate of both Leadership Fond du Lac and Leadership Ripon, she is passionate about personal growth and development and deeply committed to the communities she serves. Schatzinger holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree – Communication, from Ripon College and Master of Science – Education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

“I am very excited to continue my professional journey here in Fond du Lac and I look forward to working with the amazing and passionate group of men and women through the Women’s Fund, dedicated to empowering women and girls,” shares Schatzinger. “I cannot wait to connect with the countless volunteers, supporters, and stakeholders who have all had a hand in advancing this great organization over the years and working in partnership with each of them, as well as new contacts, to take our work to the next level.”
