8/29/23 Missing Toddler Found Safe in Green Lake County

Green Lake County Sheriff’s officials say a two-and-a-half-year-old girl reported missing from the Hattie Sherwood Campground in Green Lake was found safe early Tuesday morning. Both the Green Lake Police Department and Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after a 911 call to the County Communications Center at 2:34 am. A search of the surrounding area included the use of the County Sheriff’s Drone and K9 teams. The Green Lake/Brooklyn Fire Department also assisted. The child was found sleeping on a sidewalk about 250 yards from the campsite with the help of the infrared vision on the drone. The girl was returned to the care of her parents.
