8/13/23 Name of Markesan Man Struck By Vehicle Released

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the 48-year-old Markesan man that suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle while walking in the northbound lane of County Highway A Friday night. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene just south of County Highway AW in the Town of Fox Lake a little before 9 pm. Kenneth Clavey was taken to Waupun Memorial Hospital and subsequently transferred to UW-Hospital in Madison. Sixty-seven-year-old Susan Boelter of Randolph was driving the vehicle that hit Clavey. She was not injured. Investigators say Clavey was wearing dark clothing on an unlit roadway and strong storms were approaching prior to the crash.
