FDL SHOOTING SUSPECTS BACK IN COURT
Two Fond du Lac teens suspected of a gang related shooting in retaliation for a fatal shooting at the Maplewood Commons Apartments were back in Fond du Lac County court Thursday for a preliminary hearing. Nineteen-year-old Lamarion Moore and 16-year-old Adamite Willey (pictured) are both charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime with a dangerous weapon. Moore also faces bail jumping charges. Charges stem from a shooting at a Fond du Lac gas station on May 23rd. No one was injured in the shooting, but bullets struck the car a person was sitting in seven times. According to the criminal complaint the shooting was in retaliation for a deadly shooting at the Maplewood Common Apartments on May 7th which left one person dead and several wounded. Parise Larry Jr. and Antonio Johnson have been charged with that shooting death. The two shootings were connected to a beef between two gangs. Willey was given more time to find an attorney and his preliminary hearing was rescheduled for July 14th. Moore was bound over for trial.
HEARING RESCHEDULED FOR FDL WOMAN WHO ALLEGEDLY SOLD ALCOHOL TO TEENS KILLED IN CRASH
A preliminary hearing was postponed Thursday for a 27-year-old Fond du Lac woman suspected of selling alcohol to two 16-year-old boys killed in a traffic crash. Less than 12 hours after Sanju Paudel allegedly sold Tommy Koenigs and Nevins Zoch beer and rum they were involved in a vehicle crash on Golf Course Drive that ultimately cost them their lives. Yesterday in Fond du Lac County court prosecutors asked that the hearing be adjourned and the defense did not object. The hearing has been rescheduled for July 14th. A teenage girl that was also in the vehicle on the morning of January 21st told investigators she believes they were going 80 miles an hour when they went off the road and crashed into a tree.

PROGRESS BEING MADE FOLLOWING BRUNSWICK CYBERATTACK
The Corporate owner of Mercury Marine, Brunswick Corporation, says the company has made significant progress in restoring its systems following a cyber-attack. The company says thanks to the hard work of their IT and business teams, and many outside partners, significant progress has been made on the functionality of its systems and restarting operations at facilities where production or distribution was paused. Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac was one of those companies affected by the attack. Brunswick officials say production is being ramped up and they are fulfilling backorders. However, because of the disruptions the process of catching up lost production and fulfilling backorders will continue through at least the third quarter.

LOW LAKE LEVELS ON LAKE PUCKAWAY AND BUFFALO LAKE
State Representative Jon Plumer admits he’s been to dozens of in-district meetings in the 42nd State Assembly District over the years, but none as crowded or as passionate as a recent meeting of the Lake Puckaway Association in Montello. The state lawmaker from Lodi says about 100 people attended the meeting. Property owners were there to express their displeasure over an open dam that was keeping lake levels about three feet below normal. A DNR representative was there to listen to them. A dam in Princeton controls the lake levels and an open gate has kept levels below normal. Plumer drove down to the lake to see for himself. He says you can’t blame people for being upset when their Piers, boats, and boat lifts are on dry land and they are paying extra on property taxes to be a lakefront owner. Plumer says they have a similar situation on Buffalo Lake in Marquette County. He sent a letter to the DNR asking them if there was something they could do to rectify the situation.
SPEECH THERAPY FOR THOSE WITH PARKINSON’S DISEASE
SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac now has a couple of therapy programs it is offering through its hospitals in Fond du Lac, Ripon, and Waupun to help Parkinson’s victims having problems with their speech and communicating abilities. Angela Hall is a speech language pathologist. She says 90 percent of those with Parkinson’s disease end up with difficulty speaking, communication and even swallowing. She says the people around them notice the problems first. She says before they put someone in the SPEAK OUT!® program they evaluate the person, but the first step is to see your physician and ask them to make a recommendation to a speech therapist. Hall says once a person completes the 4-week SPEAK OUT!® program they transition them into the follow up program THE LOUD® Crowd. To learn more visit the Parkinson Voice Project.com website or call Hall at 920-926-5370.
