6/11/23 Town Square Art Gallery Features Photographer Tamra Harrington

11 June 2023 Uncategorized

GREEN LAKE, WI, — The work of Princeton photographer Tamra Harrington will
be featured throughout the month of June in the Town Square Lobby Gallery. The gallery is
located in the front lobby of the building and open to the public Monday through Friday 9 am – 5
pm and Saturday 9 am – 3 pm. Her love of photography began at a young age at a yard sale
when she came across an old 110 film camera and a photography book featuring the work of
Ansel Adams, inspiring her techniques as a professional photographer.

“I enjoy the style and contrast of old-school black and white film photography, even in the
digital age we’ve come to,” Harrington states. “Black and white photography, I believe,
captures the soul of the subject, whether it be a person, a tree, a mountain, an animal, or the
ocean.”

Tamra landed a job at a large photography company at the young age of 16, where she was
able to learn the ins and outs of the trade. She worked in the photography industry for over
20 years, retiring in 2013 only to return in 2020 when she started her own photography studio
BohippianFinch.

“My photography is a reflection of how I see people and the world,” Harrington says. “I’m very
fortunate to be able to do what I love to do and share that with all of you.”
Harrington offers her photography services for small events and portraits. Her work is
available for purchase as prints and many of her images can be found on Getty Images,
iStock Photo, Etsy, Zazzle, and Amazon Handmade.

Town Square Community Center is devoted to showcasing local artists, and the Lobby Gallery is
Green Lake’s popular showcase for the latest works of the area’s most outstanding artists.
