After having Thursday off, the Brewers are back in action tonight at Tampa Bay against the Rays. After winning three straight, Milwaukee dropped two of three games in Saint Louis to the Cardinals. Right-hander Adrian Houser (0-0, 5.19 ERA) starts for the Brewers.  First pitch is at 5:40 CDT.

There was just one game in the NL Central Thursday as the Cardinals pounded the Dodgers 16-8.  The Brewers lead the Pirates by a game in the division.

In the NBA’s Western Conference Finals Thursday night Denver won at home 108-103 to take a 2-0 lead in their series.  Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 37 points, including 23 in the fourth quarter.

The Eastern Conference Finals continue tonight in Boston where the Celtics host the Miami Heat in game-two.  The Heat won Wednesday night 123-116, coming back from a 13-point deficit to steal home court advantage.  Jimmy Butler continued to pace  Miami with 35 points.  He also grabbed five rebounds, had seven assists to go along with six steals.

Congratulations to the Wautoma/Wild Rose golf team. They took first at the conference meet clinching first place in conference.  Also, congratulations to Trey Reilly, Carson Armstrong and Kaiden Dopp for making first team All-Conference and Logan Slusser and Mason Heuer for making second team All-Conference.

Now that the Green Bay Packers’ home game dates are set, there’s a need for workers at the stadium.

PMI Entertainment Group, which handles many game-day operations for the team, is looking for parking attendants and ushers for all home games.

Parking attendants work in lots in and around Lambeau Field. Ushers assist fans once they’re inside the stadium.  Applicants need at be at least 18 years old.

The PGA Championship got underway Thursday at Oak Hill.  Not everyone finished because of darkness and will return this morning to finish the round before round two begins. That includes 34 year old rookie Eric Cole who was five-under with four holes left.

Bryson DeChambeau finished his round and is under four-under.  He leads Scottie Scheffler, Corey Connors and Dustin Johnson by a stroke. Keegan Bradly, Adam Scott, Ryan Fox and Viktor Hovland are two strokes off the pace. Last year’s champ Justin Thomas finished two-over.

Oshkosh, WI–The UW-Oshkosh Titans softball team won their D3 regional opener 5-4 over Luther College to advance into the winners bracket where they will play Concordia (WI) at 11 AM on Friday.

Hannah Ritter had 2 RBI for the Titans in their three-run fourth inning. Haylie Wittman, Abby Garceau, and Sophie Wery had the other RBIs for Oshkosh.

Luther scored 3 runs in the 7th and brought the winning run to the plate, but Oshkosh held on for the victory.
