20 May 2023 News
GREEN LAKE, WI, — In honor of Memorial Day weekend, service members will
be honored at the May Bingo night at Town Square Community Center on Saturday, May 27.
As Elmer Davis once said, “This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the
home of the brave.” Doors and concessions open at 5:00 p.m., card sales begin at 5:30 p.m.
and games start at 6:30 p.m.
All veterans and active duty personnel will receive a free beverage of their choice. The evening
features 13 games, plus speedy bingo and a progressive black out final game with half the
night’s progressive sales. The night will also feature a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and plenty of
family fun.
“I can’t wait to take my visiting family members to Bingo when they are in town,” Mae Wilton,
Town Square volunteer said. “It’s always such a great time, and definitely a treasure to have
in Green Lake.”
Concessions will be available for purchase, including Sheboygan hot dogs, chips, beer, and
wine. Carry-ins are prohibited. Attendees are highly encouraged to arrive early to find their
preferred seats before the games begin. Minors are welcome to play Bingo in Wisconsin but
must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bingo takes place at Town Square on the last Saturday of every month. Proceeds from the
bingo games support Town Square, an award-winning community center located in the historic
county courthouse buildings in the heart of downtown Green Lake. The mission of Town Square
Community Center is to enrich the lives of the Green Lake community members, family, and
friends by providing cultural, social, recreational, educational, and economic opportunities for
people of all ages. Town Square is operated by Green Lake Renewal, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit
organization.
