5/13/23 Fire Destroys Barn in the Town of Auburn

Fire destroyed a barn at N1367 Maple Drive in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Auburn Friday afternoon. Deputies and the Campbellsport Fire Department were dispatched at 12:13 pm. The barn was engulfed in flames when they arrived. Six other fire departments and two RIT teams were also asked to provide mutual aid. The 60 by 50-foot barn and a 20 by 50-foot feeding area all containing hay were destroyed by the blaze. It is believed that a tractor that was moving hay in the barn sparked the hay and the fire spread throughout. The fire is not considered suspicious. No animals were injured. The property is owned by David Glass.
