Green Lake, Wis. – Session Americana will perform at Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin, on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. A cast of top-shelf players, singers, and writers who tour internationally, taking their songs, plus hundreds more from the American songbook, on the road.
Session Americana is an American roots music band known for its collaborative and improvisational performance style. Founded in 2003 in the Boston area, the band consists of a rotating cast of musicians who play a wide range of instruments, including guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, bass, and drums. One of Session Americana’s most distinctive features is their use of a single microphone during live performances, which gives their shows an intimate and communal feel. The band members often swap instruments and take turns singing lead vocals, creating a collaborative and improvisational atmosphere. Session Americana has released several albums, including their most recent, “North East,” released in 2019. With their unique approach to live performance and eclectic blend of musical styles, Session Americana has become a beloved and influential band in the American Roots music scene.
