3/13/23 Omro Death Investigation Victim Identified as Eldorado Woman

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say the 20-year-old woman who died during an incident in which gunshots were fired in a City of Omro residence was Johanna Schultz of Eldorado. A 22-year-old man was taken into custody after a brief standoff that the Sheriff’s SWAT and Negotiations teams were dispatched to. His name won’t be released until after he makes a court appearance. Investigators have not released any information about Schultz’s manner of death saying they are involved in “a very active and ongoing investigation.” The Sheriff’s Office did express their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Johanna Schultz. They also urge anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Timm at 920-236-7369. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help out Schultz’s family with funeral expenses.
