Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies and the State Patrol took a 22-year-old Kenosha man into custody during a high-risk traffic stop on Interstate 41 northbound north of County Highway B early this morning. A deputy tried to pull a speeding vehicle over on Interstate 41 northbound at County Road Y in the Town of Byron at 1:05 am. But the vehicle would not stop. The pursuit lasted 3.8 miles until the vehicle came to a stop. Interstate 41 was closed for approximately 13 minutes during the high-risk traffic stop. Deputies made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and the driver was taken into custody without incident for knowingly fleeing an officer and other traffic-related violations.
