No one was injured but several pets perished in a fire at a Fond du Lac tavern late Wednesday night. When Fond du Lac firefighters arrived, heavy fire was showing from a second-floor window at The Bull Pen tavern at 243 West 9th Street. Fire crews knocked the fire down from the outside and made an interior fire attack extinguishing the fire. Crews then searched the building but found no occupants. Heavy damage occurred to the apartment above the bar with smoke and water damage throughout the building. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes, and no other structures were damaged.
