12/27/22 Garage Fire in the Town of Alto

Firefighters were able to contain a fire to a garage at a residence at W13629 Marshview Road in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Alto early Monday afternoon. Sheriff’s officials say the garage was attached to the home, but the residents were able to make it safely out of the house. Deputies and fire departments from Brandon-Fairwater, the Town of Alto, Waupun, and Fond du Lac, and Lifestar EMS responded to the scene. It is believed embers from outdoors burning materials started the blaze. Damage was minor and isolated to the garage area. No one was injured and the fire does not appear to be suspicious. The time of the fire call was 12:15 pm.
