11/29/22 Ripon College Presents Holiday Concert Sunday

RIPON — A holiday concert will be presented by the Ripon College Department of Music Sunday, Dec. 4. The concert will begin at 3:15 p.m. in Great Hall, Harwood Memorial Union. Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.
All of the musical ensembles of the College will perform: Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Choral Union, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo. Pre-show music will be provided by the Ripon College Brass Quintet and by members of the guitar studio.
The program will include a wide range of selections, including holiday favorites “Sleigh Ride,” by Leroy Anderson, the “O Tannenbaum” arrangement from “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” carols from the Middle Ages and a Hebrew prayer for peace. The program will end with a holiday sing-along.
Conductors include Paul Thompson, assistant professor of music; Toby Shucha, assistant professor of music; Paul Dietrich, adjunct instructor of music; Yukiko Grine, adjunct instructor of music; and Abby Schmidt, adjunct instructor of music.
Kylar Kinyon ’23 of Benton Harbor, Michigan, will be a student conductor.
