Ripon, WI- Ripon Public Library is excited to announce its December lineup of special events for all ages! Thanks to funding from the Friends of the library, events and special offerings are always free. Registration is not required unless noted.
Cocoa & Cookies Storytime! |WED DEC 7 @ 6 PM | SAT DEC 10 @ 10:00 AM |WED DEC 14 @ 10 AM | Kids & Families
Welcome to active learning and fun with a holiday theme! Families with children enjoy a rousing and hilarious cookie-themed Storytime! Stay for warm cocoa, cookie decorating, and Romper Room fun! May attend one or more sessions.
Take and Make Melted Snowman Tealight Craft | STARTING MON DEC 5 | All Ages Take and Make
Visit the checkout desk to pick up a Melted Snowman tealight craft! Makers will need their own black marker, scissors, and glue. All other supplies included. Available for all ages while supplies last.
Boardgame Bonanza | WED DEC 21 @ 6:00 PM | Adult
Calling all strategists, team players, and those who like to test their luck—enjoy an evening of tabletop board games! A variety of entertaining and easy to learn games will be available with no experience necessary. Staff will be on hand to teach and guide players through each game!
Ongoing Programs
Romper Room
Physical activity and human connections are important for healthy, happy human beings, and the Romper Room facilitates both! Focusing on active play the room features a trike & trailer, foot-to-floor vehicles, a balance bike, tunnels, tumbling mats, balance beams, and more. The Romper Room is most engaging for ages 2-6 years, though older kids are welcome. The Romper Room is always open during regular library hours. Drop-ins are welcome, though reserving a specific play time with family and friends assures availability.
Monday Matinees
Every Monday at 2:00 p.m. enjoy a newly released or classic film on the big screen. For movie title and rating call the library or check the website.
Holiday Closings
The library will be closed Saturday, December 24, Sunday, December 25, and Sunday, January 1, and open regular hours all other days: Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday 9 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday 1 to 4 PM.
