11/9/22 Evers, Johnson, Kaul Win Reelection

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers will be serving a second term after defeating Republican challenger Tim Michels in Tuesday’s election. Evers got 51 percent of the vote. Meanwhile Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson held a slim lead over Democratic challenger Mandela Barnes also receiving 51 percent of the vote. Johnson said he would not make a statement until all of the votes are in. Incumbent Attorney General Josh Kaul won a narrow victory over Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney getting 51 percent of the vote. In a statement Kaul said, “Earlier tonight, I spoke with District Attorney Eric Toney, who offered his congratulations” Kaul says he will continue to work to build safer and stronger communities across the state.
