11/4/22 Jon Plumer Running For Reelection To State Assembly

4 November 2022 News

Jon Plumer is seeking a third term representing the 42nd State Assembly District. He was elected to the Assembly in 2018 after 30 years working as a route salesman for Kraft Foods and also owns several Karate centers. The Republican candidate from Lodi says he’s proud that six of his bills were signed into law during the last session particularly of one bill that funneled the majority of opioid settlement monies back into counties. Plumer says he’s knocked on over 4,000 doors during his campaign and the top issues are inflation and the economy. As for other issues he is pro-life, but open to exception when it comes to abortions, and supports legalization of medical marijuana but not recreational use. He would also like to create legislation that would offer employers incentives if they can come up with solutions to housing and transportation for potential employees. Plumer is being challenged by Democratic candidate Theresa Valencia who is also from Lodi.
