A baby girl born with a complex congenital heart disease could be on her way home today. Peyton Hewitt’s family posted the good news on Facebook last night. She has been at a hospital in Madison recovering from heart surgery. The family says she is still having difficulty feeding, but doctors say that is not uncommon for babies to have a hard time “learning” to eat again after all the sedation, medication, and surgeries. The family also learned she will not need a pacemaker. We first told you about Peyton at the end of July when a fundraiser was held in Montello to help the family with medical costs for the then 4-month-old baby girl. (Hewitt Family photo)
