Tips To Avoid Burglaries

The Lieutenant in charge of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Investigations Division says there are steps people can take to prevent a burglary similar to what happened at a Town of Empire business last week. Chris Randall says the would-be burglars picked a business in a rural area. He says a video surveillance system and loud audible alarms could scare off potential thieves. Good locks are also encouraged. Randall says in the event that your business becomes a victim of burglary, investigators could be aided by well-kept inventory records and if possible a list of serial numbers for merchandise.  In the case of Sabel Mechanical burglary suspects hadn’t left the scene yet before an employee came upon them and they were caught a short time later.
