10/1/22 Shooting Incident At FDL Police Station

Fond du Lac Police say a 31-year-old Norfolk, Virginia man shot himself in their after-hours lobby while on the phone with the Fond du Lac County Communications Center Friday afternoon. The man told a communications dispatcher he wanted to kill himself and while on the phone with that dispatcher shot himself. Within minutes officers were on the scene and began life-saving measures. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue paramedics arrived and took the man to St. Agnes Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
