9/22/22 Ripon Woman Charged In Overdose Death

A 54-year-old Ripon woman is being charged with first degree reckless homicide and other charges for a fentanyl overdose death that occurred in the City of Ripon on March 5th of 2020 and three other drug overdoses. Carla Endeward is currently incarcerated at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. An initial appearance is for next Tuesday in Fond du Lac County court. According to the criminal complaint she waited more than an hour before getting a neighbor to help take the victim to the hospital on March 5th. An autopsy found cocaine, fentanyl and other drugs in the victim’s system. She is also charged with 3 counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety for overdoses of the first and a second victim both of whom were successfully revived in each of those instances. She allegedly was involved in helping the two male victims get the drugs that led to their overdoses. Endeward is also charged with maintaining a drug place, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
