7/25/22 Plane Crash in Beaver Dam

Beaver Dam firefighters responded to a reported plane crash Friday afternoon. Three people were in the single engine plane that experienced a catastrophic engine failure and fire. It conducted an emergency landing near the 100 block of Commercial Drive. The out-of-state pilot had experienced the engine failure after taking off from Juneau on their way to EAA. The pilot successfully landed the plane without any injuries to himself and two passengers. There was moderate damage to the aircraft which struck several stationary objects on the ground. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident. The incident happened around 4:45 pm Friday afternoon.
