7/5/22 Town Of Hubbard Fatal Accident Update

After an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred last Tuesday afternoon on Dodge County Road S at County Road WS the County Medical Examiner’s Office and Sheriff’s Office determined the death was indeed a traffic fatality. During the accident 67-year-old William Vollmer of Iron Ridge was heading west on County Road S in his dump truck. He failed to stop at a stop sign and crossed both lanes of County WS, entered a driveway, and crossed over railroad trucks. The truck vaulted and overturned. Vollmer died at the scene. Sometimes a driver killed in what appears to be a fatal accident was suffering from a medical condition.
