7/2/22 FDL Police Officer Injured In Foot Chase

A 10-year veteran of the Fond du Lac Police Department was injured while arresting a 20-year-old Fond du Lac man on a felony warrant just before 6:30 Friday evening. The officer suffered a shoulder injury. While trying to arrest the man there was a short foot pursuit in the 100 block of Forest Avenue. The suspect was tackled to the ground. A loaded handgun was found on him. The officer was taken to SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where he was treated and released. The Fond du Lac man was arrested on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, resisting, felony bail jumping and a parole warrant. He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail.
