6/22/22 Life Saving Awards Presented

Waupaca County Sheriff Timothy Wilz presented Deputy John Stephens and Manawa Police Officer Shannon Wesoloski with life-saving awards Tuesday. On April 26th an ambulance was dispatched to the City of Manawa for a report of a 70-year-old man that had fallen. When he arrived Deputy Stephens started CPR and Officer Wesoloski brought an AED. They worked together to help the man and after one shock from the AED they were able to get him breathing and he was taken to the hospital. Wilz presented the awards during the Waupaca County Board meeting. The man whose life was saved was present for the awards.
