6/9/22 Fatal Accident In The Town Of Springvale

A 54-year-old Pine River man was killed and a 20-year-old Brandon woman injured in a two-vehicle crash on Fond du Lac County Highway M north of Davis Road in the Town of Springvale Wednesday morning. Sheriff’s Sergeant Ryan Zitlow says the Brandon woman was driving an SUV north on County Highway M when she crossed over the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle driven by the Pine River man. He says the SUV went onto the east shoulder of the road where it came to rest while the other vehicle entered the west ditch and struck a utility pole coming to rest in that ditch. Ripon Ambulance took the Brandon woman to SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital with minor injuries. The Pine River man died at the scene. Rosendale Fire Department and First Responders also responded to the scene. The County’s Communication Center got a call about the crash about 8 am Wednesday morning. Six people have been killed in traffic accidents in Fond du Lac County this year.
