The Brewers continue their home stand tonight, opening a weekend series against the Washington Nationals.  Right-hander Erick Fedde (2-2, 4:24 ERA) is scheduled to start for Washington against Milwaukee’s left-hander Eric Lauer, (3-1, 2.60 ERA0.  First pitch is at 7:10 and the game can be heard on AM 1100,98.3 FM, WISS.

Thursday in the NL Central the Reds beat the Guardians 4-2, the Mets edged the Cardinals 7-6 and the Diamondbacks downed the Cubs 3-1.  The Brewers lead the Cardinals by four games in the division. 

In the Midwest League last night South Bend nipped the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Fox Cities Stadium, 3-2.  The T-Rats  drop to 23-13 while South Bend improves to 22-14. The two teams play again tonight with the first pitch at 6:40.

In the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals last night in Miami, Boston bounced back after an opening game loss, to beat the Heat 127-102 and tie their series a 1-1.  Game two of the Western Conference Finals continues tonight at Golden State where the Warriors lead the Dallas Mavericks 1-0.

The 2022 PGA Championship got underway Thursday in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Rory McIlroy has a one shot lead over Will Zalatoris and Tom Hoge.  McIlroy shot a five-under par 65.  Three other golfers are two shots off the pace. Tiger Woods shot a four-over 74.

This weekend Lawrence travels to UW-Stevens Point for their regional baseball game with the Pointers, COE, and North Central (Ill.), Starting with a match-up with the hosts at 10 a.m. on Friday.

The two-time defending champion Wisconsin Glo women’s professional basketball team opens its season tomorrow night against St. Louis.  Tipoff is at 7:00 at the Oshkosh Arena.  The teams meet again Sunday afternoon in a 3:00 start.
