For the fifth time in the past week Wisconsin saw more than 2,000 (2,008) new COVID-19 cases reported. The state’s Department of Health Services said Tuesday that raised the 7-day rolling average for new cases to 1,925. The positivity rate for all tests is now at 12.5 percent. The state is also averaging 7 deaths a day over the past week and 52 more people were reported hospitalized yesterday. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 316 COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state with 46 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County Tuesday reported 82 new COVID-19 cases as it surpassed 45,000 (45,012) total cases since the pandemic began. It also reported 1 death. Sixty (60) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and 30 cases in Dodge County. Green Lake County had 5 new cases, Waupaca County had 11 new cases, and Waushara County reported 3 new cases of the coronavirus.
