4/18/22 Baby Theresa’s Mother Pleads Guilty To Concealing Infant’s Death

The 46-year-old Milwaukee woman who gave birth to Dodge County’s “Baby Theresa” and later left its lifeless body in a garbage bag in some woods in the Town of Theresa has pleaded guilty to a felony charge. Karin Luttinen was arraigned Monday morning pleading guilty to the charge of concealing the death of a child and will be sentenced on August 5th. The infant was found dead in April of 2009. According to the criminal complaint Luttinen gave birth to the baby in a bathtub. Afterwards she got in her vehicle and drove “aimlessly” eventually placing the infant’s body in some woods. An autopsy found the infant died prior to or during birth. Luttinen could get up to a year and a half in prison when she is sentenced.
