Wisconsin Department of Health Services officials say 61 counties are showing high levels of COVID-19 activity this week compared to 56 a week ago. In addition 10 counties are experiencing moderate levels and Buffalo County has a “very high” level of activity. The DHS reported 798 new COVID cases Wednesday the highest number since February 23rd. There were also 5 deaths and 15 hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 141 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 27 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County Wednesday reported 31 new COVID-19 cases. Ten new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge and Green Lake counties each had 4 new cases. Waupaca and Waushara counties both had 2 new cases of the coronavirus.
