3/22/22 One Person Killed In Oshkosh Apartment Complex Fire

One person was killed in a fire at apartment complex in Oshkosh early Monday afternoon. Smoke and flames were not visible when fire crews arrived at 149 West 24th Avenue, but there was heavy smoke in a hallway of the 16-unit apartment building. Firefighters found charring on the outside of an apartment door. One resident was transported to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead. The fire was contained to one unit and no one else was displaced. The cause of the fire and death are being investigated by the Oshkosh Fire and Police Departments.
