Wisconsin no longer has any counties with “critically high” or “very high” levels of COVID-19. The state’s Department of Health Services Wednesday reported 59 counties are now in the “high” category and the remaining 13 are in the “moderate” category. The DHS says 433 new cases were reported yesterday, but the 7-day rolling average inched down a little to 347 new cases a day. State health officials also reported 37 deaths with 24 of those occurring more than a month ago. Thirty-one people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 252 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across Wisconsin with 53 of them in intensive care units.
Fifteen new COVID-19 cases were reported in Winnebago County Wednesday with 1 death. Fond du Lac and Waupaca counties each had 4 new cases. Dodge County had 5 new cases Green Lake County had 3 new cases and no new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Waushara County.
