Jrue Holiday banked in a driving layup with 1.9 seconds left and the Milwaukee Bucks rallied from a 14-point deficit in the final six minutes to beat the Miami Heat 120-119 on Wednesday night. The Bucks outscored Miami 21-6 down the stretch to snap the Heat’s four-game winning streak.
After Khris Middleton made a 3-pointer with 13.5 seconds remaining to get the Bucks within one, Giannis Antetokounmpo forced a jump ball against Jimmy Butler on the ensuing inbounds pass. Antetokounmpo won the tip and got it to Bobby Portis. Holiday got the ball from Portis, worked his way to the other end of the court and made the winning basket.
The Heat had no timeouts left, and Tyler Herro missed a desperation 3-point attempt at the buzzer. Miami lost despite shooting 21 of 44 from 3-point range. Herro led the way by scoring 30 points and shooting 6 of 10 from beyond the arc.

Wednesday at the NFL Combine, there was more media availability with the head coaches, general managers and future draft hopefuls, which included Packers’ Matt LaFleur, who spoke to the Wisconsin media.
No surprise, the two main topics were Aaron Rodgers and Tom Clements, the new quarterbacks coach for the Packers.. Just like everyone else, Matt LaFleur is waiting on Aaron Rodgers’ decision.
“You control what you can control,” LaFleur said. “Consistent communication. I told him I don’t want to be overbearing and tell him every day how much we love him and allow him to think through everything clearly and be annoying I guess.”
As far as Green Bay’s salary cap situation, LaFleur said he just wants the team to bring back as many guys as they can. He also said it’s not really his area of expertise, but that Russ Ball does a good job with that. Another big coaching hire from LaFleur, he said special teams coordinator Rick Bisaccia could be himself a head coach some day and he had some experience with that after taking over for Jon Gruden, who was fired during the 2021 season. That shows how much LaFleur respects Bisaccia’s experience and track record. LaFleur also said Bisaccia has a clear cut philosophy and everybody will have to embrace it.
Aaliyah Nye scored 17 points, Kendall Bostic notched her sixth double-double of the season and 14th-seeded Illinois snapped an 11-game losing streak with a 75-66 win over 11th-seeded Wisconsin on Wednesday in the first round of the Big Ten tournament.
Illinois (7-19) is the first 14th seed to advance to the second round since Purdue in 2015. The Illini, whose only other conference win came in a regular-season split with Wisconsin, will take on sixth-seeded Nebraska Thursday.
Bostic had 12 points, 16 rebounds and six assists as all five Fighting Illini starters scored in double figures. Erika Porter, averaging 3.6 points coming in, scored a career-high 15, Adalia McKenzie had 14 points and seven assists and Jada Peebles added 12 points on 4-of-5 3-point shooting. Illinois was 9 of 12 from the arc to 7 of 29 for Illinois.
