COVID Passes Another Sad Milestone

Wisconsin passed another sad milestone in the pandemic over the weekend as the death toll surpassed 11,000 lives lost. The 65 deaths reported by the state’s Department of Health Services Friday gave the state a total 11,062 deaths entering the weekend. Also on Friday the state recorded 6,986 new COVID-19 cases and 177 hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association Friday reported 1,770 COVID patients in hospitals across the state with 360 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County Friday reported 564 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death. One-hundred and twelve (112) new cases and 1 death was reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County surpassed 23,000 (23,087) total cases with 106 new cases. Green Lake County had 31 new cases, Waupaca County had 56 new cases, and Waushara County reported 30 new cases of the coronavirus.
