Health Care Workers Challenged By COVID

The Administrator for Ambulatory Operations for SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac Region says staffing at their hospitals in Fond du Lac, Ripon and Waupun is a challenge with the pandemic. Missy Tate says taking care of those ill from COVID-19 takes its toll with health care workers exposing themselves to the virus even with vaccinations, boosters and other precautions. She says because some staff is out sick themselves that means others have to work hard and put in overtime hoping they too won’t become ill. Tate says as a result of the increased load with COVID patients they are asking the public to be patient when it comes to making appointments or even calling those hospitals. Tate says they do encourage the public to continue to seek them out for wellness services.

The new LED energy efficient lights will illuminate the district throughout the year. Tebon says they have reached 50 percent of their fund raising goal.
