Wisconsin passed another grim milestone in the pandemic Wednesday with more than 10,000 total deaths. Thirty-four (34) more deaths pushed the total to 10,014 and the 7-day rolling average to 24 a day. The state’s Department of Health Services also reported 6,477 new COVID-19 cases over 700 more than reported on Tuesday. The 7-day average now stands at 3,869 new cases a day. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 1,712 COVID patients hospitalized across the state with 419 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 129 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death Wednesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 172 new cases and Dodge County had 129 new cases. Ten new cases were reported in Green Lake County, 57 new cases in Waupaca County, and Waushara County had 28 new cases of the coronavirus.
