COVID 19 Report Wednesday

Wisconsin reached another COVID-19 milestone Tuesday as it moved past 900,000 total cases since the pandemic began just over 22 months ago.  The Department of Health Services reported a total of 901,727 cases since the health crisis began. The state’s 7-day rolling average for new cases has improved since it was last reported at 3,548 cases on Friday. Wednesday that 7-day average had fallen to 3,155 new cases per day. The state also reported 109 deaths since last Friday and 730 more hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 1,611 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 418 of them in intensive care units.

Winnebago County Wednesday reported 415 new COVID-19 cases since last Friday. Fond du Lac County recorded 72 new cases yesterday and 288 since last Friday moving past 19,000 total cases to 19,113.  Dodge County has seen 199 new cases since last Friday and 1 death and Green Lake County 32 new cases and 6 deaths. Also over that time span Waupaca County had 79 new cases and 3 deaths and Waushara County recorded 40 new cases of the coronavirus.
