The number of Wisconsin counties with “critically high” levels of COVID-19 this week doubled to 16. COVID activity remains “very high” in the remaining 56 counties of the state. Calumet and Marquette counties are among the counties in the “critically high” category. Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago counties are among those in the “very high” category. State health officials Wednesday reported 3,503 new COVID-19 cases, 33 more deaths, and 180 hospitalizations.

Winnebago County reported 190 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and with 24,907 total cases will reach 25,000 total cases in the next day or two. Sixty-nine (69) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 64 new cases. Green Lake County had a dozen (12) new cases, Waupaca County 25 new cases, and Waushara County had 13 new cases of the coronavirus.
