Despite recent declines in new COVID-19 cases and deaths, Wisconsin saw an increase in both Tuesday. The state’s Department of Health Services reported 2,533 new cases increasing the 7-day average for new cases to 1,865. The state also reported 42 deaths putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 8,420 lives lost. The DHS also says 150 people were hospitalized.  The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 910 people are hospitalized across the state with the coronavirus and 283 of those patients are in intensive care units.

Winnebago County recorded 64 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and 1 death. Forty new cases and 1 death were reported in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 22 new cases. Green Lake County recorded 23 new cases, Waupaca County had 36 new cases and 1 death, and Waushara County had 26 new coronavirus cases and 1 death.
