Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reported 2,233 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, but because the state averaged 1,624 new cases a day during the weekend the 7-day average for new cases has declined to 1,977 new cases a day. That is the first time the 7-day average has been below 2,000 cases since mid-September. The state also reported 16 more deaths Tuesday. The death toll from the coronavirus during the health crisis now stands at 8,267 lives lost. Meanwhile 155 more people were hospitalized with COVID-19. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there a total of 1,070 patients hospitalized across the state with the virus and 308 of them are in intensive care units.

Winnebago County Tuesday reported 37 new COVID-19 cases. Fifty-three new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 20 new cases. Green Lake County had 13 new cases, Waupaca County 52 new cases, and Waushara County reported 16 new cases of the coronavirus.
