Say Cheese!

20 October 2021 News

For about 2 dozen senior citizens in Ripon a recent trip to Milwaukee was the stuff that Wisconsin if not dreams are made of.  Center Executive Director Noreen Johnson says the trip was originally scheduled for April of last year, but COVID-19 intervened. She says trips to a museum and brewery fell through, but they made the most of it getting some free Pabst Blue Ribbon samples at the Pabst Museum. Of course they had to stop at the place that made the Cheesehead famous The Original Cheesehead Factory where they got to make their own cheeseheads, footballs and much more. They encountered all kinds of food and drink at the Milwaukee Public Marketplace in the 3rd Ward. The trip was capped off with a stop at Kelley Country Creamery in Fond du Lac for some of their nationally recognized and award-winning ice cream. (Ripon Senior Activity Center photo)
