State Representative Alex Dallman is one of the lead authors of a legislative package of bills that will preserve and enhance the rich sporting heritage of hunting and angling. The package has sponsors in both the Senate and the Assembly, and includes 13 bills circulating in the Legislature relating to Department of Natural Resource regulations, as well as addressing hunting, fishing, trapping, wild game, and second amendment issues. The state lawmaker from Green Lake says it would consolidate or eliminate some licenses. He notes the state has 20 different hunting licenses and 12 different fishing licenses already. Another bill he had a hand in would create aquaculture partnerships. A couple bills are expected to be vetoed by Governor Tony Evers. One would eliminate the need for a concealed carry permit and another would create a Sandhill Crane hunting season.

Border Policy Failure
Congressman Glenn Grothman says there has been a vast increase in the number of illegal immigrants coming across the border at Yuma, Arizona in President Biden’s first year in office. He says the number of illegal immigrants that have come through the area where the wall was left incomplete is over 14 times as great (114,000 versus 8,000) from over the past fiscal year. He says in addition to the failure of President Biden’s Open Border Policy there is the fate of the incomplete wall. The federal lawmaker from Glenbeulah says some of those paid to put up the wall are still being paid according to their contract if they come in to the work site each day. In addition to that scrap metal from the wall that wasn’t used is being stolen from the site overnight.
