State health officials say 1,192 new COVID-19 cases were reported Monday and more than 4,800 new cases since last Friday. Over the weekend the state averaged 1,624 new cases a day far less than the current 7-day average for new cases of 2,158. Over the weekend the state reported 12 more deaths including 2 Monday, which brings the death toll from the disease to 8,251. The Wisconsin Hospital Association on Monday reported 1,061 hospitalizations across the state due to the coronavirus with 313 people in intensive care units.
Winnebago County Monday reported 133 new COVID-19 cases. Since last Friday Fond du Lac County has recorded 111 new COVID cases and Dodge County has 87 more cases. Green Lake County picked up 12 new cases, Waupaca County 35 new cases, and Waushara County recorded 22 new cases of the coronavirus.
