Some good news regarding the spread of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, the number of counties where the spread of the coronavirus is “critically high” dropped from 21 last week to 17 this week. Green Lake, Waupaca and Waushara counties remain among those with “critically high” levels, but Fond du Lac County has dropped back to a “very high” level, which Winnebago County is also in. The state’s Department of Health Services reported 2,911 new cases Wednesday, 9 new deaths, and 113 hospitalizations.
Winnebago County Wednesday reported 45 new COVID-19 cases. Eighty-five new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and 40 new cases in Dodge County. Green Lake and Waushara counties both had 16 new cases yesterday and Waupaca County had no new cases.
