Waupaca County Burglary Suspect Involved In Two State Crime Spree
5 October 2021 News
A 39-year-old Kenosha County man wanted for allegedly burglarizing the Shamrock Heights Golf Course in New London last month is in custody. Waupaca County Sheriff’s officials say Daniel Celkis of Genoa City was arrested during a traffic stop in Manitowoc County on Thursday, September 23rd. The deputy that made the stop saw a crime alert from Waupaca County and reached out to the investigating detective Sergeant Timothy Myers. Because Celkis is suspected in other golf course burglaries investigators from throughout the state were involved in the execution of search warrants and interviews. His crime spree began in early summer and spanned from northern Illinois to Northern Wisconsin. He is currently being held in the Brown County Jail on a probation violation. His initial court hearing in Waupaca County is pending on burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft of movable property, and criminal damage to property charges.
